Wednesday 13th February, 2008 was a beautiful early spring day. I went to visit Orrell Water Park which is an open space based around two disused reservoirs. There are wild birds, fishing facilities, pathways, picnic areas and a children's playground.

It was half term holiday so there were many children around; some were young: some were older teenagers. All were enjoying the unseasonably warm sunshine.

The light was beautiful and the potential photographic subjects many.
