Mesnes Park

This is the scene at Mesnes Park on Sunday 5th August, 2007, when thousands of spectators turned up on a beautiful sunny day to see the 5th "Wigan One World" festival.

According to the official programme this year saw:

"...over 200 local and international performers and artists in celebration of the world's rich mix of culture and traditions".

Sporting activities included a football tournament in support of the "Kick Racism out of Football" campaign.

This was a great day.
