Wigan One World festival, August 2008

Sunday 3rd August 2008, the 6th Wigan One World festival took place in Mesnes Park . Over the years, the festival has grown and this year about 9,000 people attended.

The event featured about 35 diverse acts from around the world but also showcased three Wigan bands, "Inside View", "Tiredness Killed" and "Love on Hold".

Shademakers displayed fantastic costumes in the carnival parade.
