Bluebells

These pictures were taken on Saturday 28th April, 2007.

Mill-dam Wood is about 4 miles from the centre of Wigan and straddles the border between Standish and Shevington, although it is nearer to the centre of Shevington than the centre of Standish.

Mill-dam Wood is the local name for Elnup Wood and it is the latter name that you will see on the map.

As in most woodlands the dominant April flower is bluebell.
