"Made in Wigan"

A free event entitled, "Made in Wigan" was held in and around the Trencherfield Mill on Sunday 15th of June. It was an opportunity to see the world's largest working steam engine, still in situ 100 years after its initial installation.

Also on show were:

• a permanent display of mill machinery;
• singer Andy Prior, the impressive Wigan born singer;
• Wigan Youth Jazz Orchestra;
• Wigan Jazz Club Big Band;
• Wigan Pier Theatre Company;
• Wigan Pier Youth Theatre.
